My Foundation Routine

 My Foundation Routine

Hi guys, I wanted to show you my simple, everyday foundation routine. I have had a lot of compliments on my makeup and wanted to show you how I do my makeup!!

Step One - Moisturizer

First step to applying anything on your face, should be moisturizer!!!! It is so important to keep your face hydrate and helps when applying makeup. I use Ultra Repair Cream and it works wonders. As you can see, a little goes a long way.

Step Two - Primer

For primer I am using Smashbox Photo Finish. I having been using it since forever. It is gel like and a waste to rub it between your palms like lotion. Just apply directly from the tube, making small dots all over the face and then rub it in.

Step Three - Foundation

For foundation I am using the Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth in the shade 220-Natural Beige. (I actually ran out of Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless . That is my holy grail. I prefer using the matte one more because of my oily skin. It does a great job with coverage and being lightweight. ) I use a damp beauty blender for applying and blending in the foundation for an airbrush finish.

Step Four - Concealer

For concealer I am using the Nars in the color Custard. I would apply a little under my eye and blending it in with a damp beauty blender.

After applying I use Dermablend for baking. I would apply a decent amount with my beauty blender over my concealer. (Baking refers to letting translucent powder sit on your face for about five minutes) After five minutes, I would dust off the excess powder leaving a creaseless, flawless finish.

Step Six

To set my makeup, I am using the powder from Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless in the shade 220 Natural Beige. I use a simple powder brush to apply in a circular motion throughout my face. The reason I use a powder foundation over my liquid foundation is because I notice it creates a more flawless finish.

Before

After

It's kind of hard to tell between my before and after picture (sorry I did this in the middle of the night, couldn't sleep) but on the left side you can see my bags under my eyes and dis-colorments. Whereas on the right side has more of a matte, smooth finish. (Also, as much as I look makeup I prefer the more natural look for foundation)

Alright guys, that's my simple everyday foundation routine. Hope you enjoyed it!!!
